29 March 2011

change of plans.

did I see this coming? maybe recently.

could I have predicted it two years ago? not a chance.

I vowed I’d be single till at least 25...

I wanted to travel the world.
I wanted to have fun and date loads of boys.
I wanted be single while I started a career.

Yeah well. I didn’t really know what I wanted.

Sure I've traveled the world
I've definitely had my share of fun and dating.
I've completed three years of college (almost), been accepted into a competitive nationally award winning public relations program and completed my associates degree (if BYU had one)

I’ve done a lot.
but I had a plan...A plan to do even more.

(and jeff wasn’t in any of those plans.)

See that’s the funny thing about life. You can’t predict anything.

Jeff may not have been my plan, but he was definitely someone else's.

Nothing about our relationship has been chance of coincidence. No surgery in Germany, no four-month stay in London, no previous relationship. nothing.

Jeff and I are absolutely 100% supposed to be together.

That’s why I have forgotten about all those silly plans. Yes I have plenty of life to live, plenty of time to face and plenty of experiences to encounter...

but why not do it all with my best friend?

That’s why on June 28, 2011 I will be married to the perfect boy

against everything I ever promised myself.

I’m glad I was wrong.

because as someone once told me...

I am so excited for you Emmy. I had the same thoughts too, Finish nursing school, be a traveling nurse, all that good stuff, and now I have almost been married for 3 years and have a little girl, and I am 22, mind you I had the same thought of being single until at least 23, so when I read your post it totally reminded me of me. I love how you put everything. Life is crazy. Good luck with the wedding plands and marriage is great Love you lots
